This unit describes the processes and knowledge required to investigate the nature and uses of both the physical and natural sciences from an indigenous as well as a western perspective. The intention is for knowledge from both perspectives to be applied to scientific investigations relevant to students' cultural backgrounds and interests and to encourage the discovery and application of related scientific principles. The unit has been developed and written in support of Indigenous Australians maintaining control of their cultural heritage. It is intended to be delivered to Indigenous Australians.
