Entry requirements

Prospective students are required to attend an informal music audition (either instrumental or voice) and a personal interview with a member of the teaching staff prior to enrolment.  Please note that an audition entry can be by successful completion of Certificate III in Music.

Resources required

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Timetable

Cairns campus: Study is a combination of theory, practical and performance oriented sessions.  Full time study over four days per week, Tuesday to Friday, over a 12 month duration

Students need to successfully complete 14 units to gain the qualification; 4 core and 10 elective units.
