Gain intermediate to advanced level training in a range of welding processes. This course is designed to provide intermediate to advanced level training in a range of common welding processes such as ARC, TIG and MIG welding.

The course consists of both theoretical and practical instruction and assessment. To successfully gain competency you must show a good understanding of the processes as well as conforming to requirements of the practical work. There is also a short theory exam at the completion of each of the subjects. Course details

Entry requirements

This course is suitable for those who have completed a basic welding course and wish to continue to the next level of study.  Students must be at least 16 years old.

Resources required

Please be aware that you will also be required to supply the following items at your cost:

  • Pen & notebook
  • Industrial longs (long sleeve shirt & trousers or overalls)
  • Safety boots
  • Clear safety glasses and a pair of welding gloves
  • Own welding helmet is desirable

This training is conducted during existing classes. Enrolment is dependent on availability in the class for the unit/s you wish to undertake.
