Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS) will provide the knowledge, skill and understanding to enable persons to safely navigate vessels using ECDIS.
This 5 day generic course has been designed to meet the IMO 1.27 requirements. Is it AMSA approved and also meets the STCW95 requirements. Course details
Those attending the course should have experience in performing chart work and should be able to practise all usual tasks concerning standard navigational procedures and equipment. They should know about the functions and limitations of other navigational equipment. Basic computer skills are required.
No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.
It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.
