We can help your organisation in a number of ways – including identifying the right training for your employees and making a study plan so you can achieve those goals.
Let's celebrate the people who make us look beautiful
This program will prepare students for entry level work in the beauty industry. Students will gain hands on experience by completing your training in the TAFE Queensland beauty salon where students will perform tasks such as make-up, manicures, pedicures, waxing, cosmetic tanning, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, intimate waxing and lash extensions for real clients.
In addition to the beauty treatment skills, students will learn about basic skin structure and retail skills. This program is an excellent pathway to the Diploma of Beauty also offered at TAFE Queensland. Course details
Students must present themselves in a professional manner, including coming to class in uniform, black pants and black enclosed shoes. Students are required to purchase a uniform tunic. Details will be provided upon enrolment.
As some resources may be online, it is recommended that students have access to a reliable Internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a laptop with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations, however, Internet access at home is required.
Students will need to purchase a USB
Students are required to have their hair tied back and have short natural nails (no artificial nails). All facial piercings are to be removed (and during certain practical classes body piercings will need to be removed). No jewellery to be worn with the exception of a pair of studs in the lower ear and a wedding ring

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.
Subsidised
The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.
Certificate 3 Guarantee
You can receive a subsidy towards one certificate III qualification from a list of eligible courses. The amount provided depends on the demand for skilled workers in your chosen industry.
You're eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee if you:
Are 15 years or older and no longer in school
Live in Queensland full time
Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with the necessary visa or work permits
And don't currently have (or are enrolled in) a certificate 3 or higher level qualification.
Give us a call to find out more.
