Mt Isa campus: Tuesday 13 June, 2017 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please note that students will need to attend the Food Handling delivered on the 12 June, 2017 or provide evidence of prior completion of the Food Handling short course. 

Thursday Island campus: Expression of Interest

Online: A maximum of 4 weeks from enrolment date to complete unit enrolled in to.

Flexible (Workbook): A maximum of 7 weeks from enrolment date to complete unit enrolled in to.

Important Information

For students wanting to obtain their food safety supervisor certificate:

Although SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety is not a pre-requisite for Food Safety Supervisor (SITXFSA002) under the National training package requirements, Queensland Health and local state Councils stipulate that students need to complete both units to obtain a food safety supervisor certificate.

If students have previously completed Food Hygiene (SITXFSA001) then a transfer credit can be issued. Proof of completion will need to be provided for transfer credit to be processed.

Units

To gain the Skill Set SITSS00051, the unit SITXFSA001 needs to also be completed for $85 ($210 for the 2 units making up the Skill Set).
