The Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology provides skills in networking, computer hardware and maintenance, workplace legislation and documentation, and fundamental web design concepts. It will enable you to provide IT support in an organisation with a range of different systems.
Persons working at this level will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications and digital media technologies. Course details
Applicants need to demonstrate competence in using a keyboard and mouse, navigating around the Microsoft Windows operating system, file and folder management, browsing and searching the Internet, sending and receiving emails, installing hardware components, installing operating systems and application software, and an intermediate level in the use of office productivity packages such as word processors and spread sheet applications.
Applicants must complete the Electronic Self Assessment before enrolling to ensure they have adequate foundation skills. Applicants may need to attend an interview prior to enrolment.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable Internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.
The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.
Certificate 3 Guarantee
You can receive a subsidy towards one certificate III qualification from a list of eligible courses. The amount provided depends on the demand for skilled workers in your chosen industry.
You're eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee if you:
Are 15 years or older and no longer in school
Live in Queensland full time
Are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with the necessary visa or work permits
And don't currently have (or are enrolled in) a certificate 3 or higher level qualification.
