This course covers the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake the external examination required to obtain a Short Range Operator Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP) issued by the Office of Maritime Communications (OMC).

Students must be 16 years of age, have a minimum of year 10 with a sound achievement in English and Mathematics or the equivalent, or gain mature age entry.

  • A notebook and pen are required for theory components.

Attire is to be of current industry standard with enclosed footwear to be worn at all times.
