How to enrol

Entry requirements

For Master of Yachts Inshore 80GT crossover:

  • Hold a current AMSA Coxswain Grade 1 Certificate

For Master of Yachts Coastal/Mate 200 GT crossover:

  • Hold a current AMSA Coxswain Grade 1 Certificate
  • Hold a current AMSA Certificate of Safety Training
  • Have a current medical fitness certificate or examination

Resources required

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access the online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.


Studies will be through the IYT online website Students will have 2 weeks from enrolment date to complete unit enrolled into.
