A sound achievement in Year 10 Science, Maths, and English is desirable.  Mature age applicants are welcome.

Note this delivery is via Recognition of Prior Learning only.

Resources required

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course. However, It is recommended that students have access to a reliable Internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Outcome

SIT30316 Certificate III in Guiding.  This qualification provides a pathway to work as a guide in many tourism industry sectors. Guides at this level usually work in particular areas or sites, including attractions, cultural and heritage sites, tourist precincts, marine and national parks, wineries, or on board day or extended cruise vessels.

Recognition of prior learning
