With the number of connected devices set to rapidly grow to 20-50 billion devices by 2020 it is becoming increasingly important for individuals and businesses to understand and apply concepts of the Internet of Things. This introductory course will cover what the Internet of Things is, how it works, how it can be applied and the ways in which it can reduce costs and create efficiencies. Learn from the practical experts who are applying this technology in industry and in trade applications.

No specific resources are required to successfully complete this course.

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.


This course is delivered over one evening, Tuesday night 6pm - 9pm


This is a non accredited course. Students will receive a statement of attendance.
