TAFE Queensland North is the first-choice training provider for hundreds of northern Queensland businesses, industries and organisations that employ apprentices and trainees. Our teachers are highly experienced and passionate about their trade. They will work with you and your employer to design a training plan that outlines training needs, how they will be provided and when and where it will take place.
Apprenticeships are generally long term contracts of three to four years in trade areas such as automotive, hairdressing, cookery, plumbing, carpentry and electrical. These are just a few examples of the hundreds of courses that are available at TAFE Queensland North!
Traineeships are shorter term contracts of 12 to 24 months and encompass training in vocational skills in areas including business, community services, hospitality and tourism to name a few.
Please note TAFE Queensland North does not place apprentices or trainees with employers. For more information on how to find an employer, visit the Australian Apprenticeships website.
