CSQ Funding

Are you working or seeking work in the Construction and/or Civil Construction Industry?

Now is the time to upgrade your skills with CSQ subsidised training! For a limited time, if you're currently working or have experience in building, construction, or civil construction you may be able to study a wide variety of courses at a reduced cost thanks to funding from Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ).

Funding is available to assist workers to:

Upgrade to a higher level qualification!

Gain recognition for your existing skills!

Have your skills formally recognised through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and only train to fill gaps in your knowledge. The below qualifications are for workers currently employed or with previous industry experience who are able to use RPL to assess current skills and gap training to complete their studies.

Upgrade to a higher level qualification!

Gain a higher level qualification and upgrade your current skills and knowledge in your chosen field. If you currently work in industry you may eligible to upgrade your current qualification to a Certificate IV or Diploma at a reduced cost.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for funding participants must:

  • Be an 'existing worker' currently employed in the building, construction or civil construction industry with one month or more employment relationship with an employer, in a full-time, part-time, casual or contract capacity. Existing workers must work 'on tools' and not in a managerial, clerical, professional or ancillary capacity.
  • Be a 'eligible worker' which has the same meaning as the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Services Leave) Act 1991 (Qld) as amended from time to time. In relation to qualifications RII30815, RII30915, MSF31113, AHC30910, CPC30111, CPC30211 and CPC30611 you must have prior or significant experience in the building, construction or civil construction industry. 
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen; or a permanent resident; or a refugee and humanitarian visa holder AND
  • Permanently reside in Queensland or be permanently employed in Queensland.
